On Los Lobos' live cover of Cream's "Politician," from Just Another Band from East L.A. (CD, Slash ), David Hidalgo's lead guitar had all the screaming assertiveness of Clapton's original. Album: Marysville, California - July 4, Comments: Good performance. Consistent mix with the vocals mixed just a "notch" too low on some songs, just fine on others - drums are mixed a bit too low. Unnecessary compression in lower midrange causing the drums and lower midrange to sound "duller" than they actually are.

The earnest racket of an outfit like the Get Up Kids is also a component in Move Along's sound. But the Rejects blend and sculpt those influences with keyboards, choirs, pianos -- there's even a classical guitar on "Top of the World" -- and the result is superficial midrange 5/5(3).
